Terry appears in DQH as one of the 8 otherworldly characters, and the sole representative of VI. Story wise, Terry's appearance in this title is sometime prior to when he joins the Hero of his own game, when he is still in search of the world’s strongest sword. The blue swordsman is first introduced in the city of Colissea, engaging in a duel against the main antagonist of the game, Velasco until Luceus and co. interrupt the fight and cause the villain to disappear mid-battle.  Generally rude and standoffish, Terry does not attempt to get along with the other characters, and merely tags along due Velasco’s parting words of the main heroes being ‘destined to save the world’ piquing his curiosity.

In game Terry is given the title of Solitary Swordsman, befitting his lone wolf status and gameplay design, allowing him to fight relatively well without needing support of other party members. While he shares the same weapon and some standard attacks as Luceus and Aurora, Terry distinguishes himself from both by prioritizing high speed and powerful electric attacks, letting him exploit one of the few weaknesses machine monsters have without expending MP.
