The Sword of Dai is a weapon from Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai[edit]

It is a orichalcum sword, the most powerful sword wielded by Dai the hero, created by legendary craftsman Lon Beruk by melting down the Crown of Champions. As such, it can withstand Dai's draconic aura, which shatters any other weapon. According to Lon Beruk, the sword is sentient because the sword has a red soul gem in the middle, which is the source of the sword's ultimate destructive power. It won't unsheathe unless it see a worthy opponent, protecting itself from needless damage.

Dai later acquires a special sheath, allowing him to amplify his magic to the point where he can use Baran's Gigabreak, and later still, the Giga Strash (a monstrously powerful combination of Avan Strash and Gigabreak).

Dragon Quest of the Stars[edit]

The sword shows up alongside Dai in multiple crossover events with the Japanese version of this game. The main sword has a base attack power of +80 at Lv1, and from here it evolves to +125 at Lv2 and +172 at Lv3. Its main skill is Giga Strash, but with Equipment Alchemy, the "Dragonoid Doru Aura" will be added to its main skill. The latter can then be powered up into "Transcendence Giga Strash".

The anime version of the sword a base attack of +114 at Lv1 and +210 at Lv3. Its main skill is Avan Strash, but Giga Strash can be added to the main skill.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds[edit]

Jump Force[edit]
