It could only be equipped by the Prince of Midenhall in the NES version, but in the remakes, the Prince of Cannock can equip it, as well. It can be dropped by both Giganteses and Green dragons and can be sold for 11,250 Gold Coins.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit]

The sword of ruin has an attack bonus of +105 and has a 364 (4.7%) chance to inflict a critical hit at the cost of a 25% chance of being Paralyzed for one turn . It can only be equipped by the Hero and Warriors. In the NES version, it can be purchased from Rimuldar for 45,000 Gold Coins. In all other versions, it can be found in the Craggy Cave. It can also be dropped by the Bones of Baramos at a rate of 1256. It may be sold for 33,750 Gold Coins.
