The terrorhawk (originally MadFalcon) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest VII, it is a brown, typically weaker variant of the prism peacock.

Characteristics

The terrorhawk is a tremendously terrifying, brown winged, muscled bird monster with a hellish screech that sends humans fleeing in fear. Not nearly as vibrant as their close relatives, the prism peacock, their muted colours allow them to more effectively and dive bomb prey with their perfectly honed hunting senses and their sharp, slashing talons. In battle they're known for their fiendish belching of a fierce fire that fries all foes and the infuriating Fuddle spell that can confuse and entitle entourage of adventurers, turning even the most sensible and strong ally into a fearsome adversary.

Appearances

They are typically strong monsters, not appearing until later on in the games they're featured in. One of their more bothersome qualities is knowledge of Fuddle spells, making them very dangerous if they are able to confuse party members into attacking each other.

Description Raised on molten magma, these fiery, feathered fiends ignite enemies with Flame Breath, and fox them with Fuddle.

They were once very docile birds, but went batty when bashed on the bonce by boulders when the Magmaroo erupted.
