The appreciation is much appreciated! I've been adding monster descriptions as I encounter the monsters on my first playthrough of Dragon Quest VI; creating a kind of bestiary to go along with the adventure. The reason I've stuck with the syntax so closely is mainly due to Dragon Quest 8 on the PlayStation 2; the game that made me fall in love with the series and it's character and the mannerisms and accent that's added on to everything. I realise now I've been writing these on and off for almost a year, but I plan to complete them all and then move on to Dragon Quest VII. Thanks for starting this site; it's a great place that adds even further depth and heart to the series.

These monster bios are really freshening up the place, especially compared to the dry writing we had before (and that I inadvertently still practice). You've tapped into the rhythm and syntax tone plus-alpha set for the series fantastically, and a ''lot'' of the VII mons really needed the attention--way too many of those pages are smothered in dust. The only critique I have is the placement of the paragraphs, in that you're putting them under specific game appearances instead of on top of that section while using two = marks. It might just be me, but I think it flows better if the descriptive writing is done up front and the hard data is lower on the page. This is the '''one''' thing I've noticed though, everything else has been solid gold thus far and I'm incredibly grateful you've taken the time to add a ton of charm to this site. Thanks again for all you've done for the site! ([[User:Follower of Light|Follower of Light]] ([[User talk:Follower of Light|talk]]) 22:07, 1 June 2019 (EDT))

Welcome to the wiki![edit]

Salutations and welcome to dragon-quest.org!

Thanks a ton for helping filling out the characteristics pages on the barren monster pages, and matching Plus-Alpha's syntax so well--it's been a sore spot for me for a while but I've been to swamped with filling out the info boxes for 8's bestiary to take a shot at them, among other side projects. Believe me, it's much appreciated! (Follower of Light (talk) 12:18, 13 June 2017 (CDT))

Monster characteristics[edit]

These monster bios are really freshening up the place, especially compared to the dry writing we had before (and that I inadvertently still practice). You've tapped into the rhythm and syntax tone plus-alpha set for the series fantastically, and a lot of the VII mons really needed the attention--way too many of those pages are smothered in dust. The only critique I have is the placement of the paragraphs, in that you're putting them under specific game appearances instead of on top of that section while using two = marks. It might just be me, but I think it flows better if the descriptive writing is done up front and the hard data is lower on the page.
