Vrenor is a location in Dragon Quest IV.
Vrenor (Frenor in the NES version) is a location in Dragon Quest IV. Located in the northeast of Zamoksva, it is a highly gossipy small town.

Located in the northeast of Zamoksva, it is a small town prone to believing the stories of visiting travelers without question.
Story
Alena, Borya and Kiryl travel to Vrenor in Chapter 2 and encounter the Fake Princess of Santohaim and her retinue. After her capture, the kidnappers place the Armlet of Transmutation as her ransom; the party, having acquired the item earlier in their travels at the Vault of Vrenor, gives it up to ensure the girl's safety. After this, they move on.

Appearances
Later on, a girl flees from Palais de Léon with an injured Oojam (former ally of Maya & Meena). The two stayed at Vrenor's Inn to rest and recover.
DQ4
Alena, Borya and Kiryl travel to Vrenor in DQ4 Chapter 2 and encounter the Fake Tsarevna and her retinue living it up as celebrities in the gullible village. The imposter is kidnapped by the forces of Psaro the Manslayer, and her disappearance leads to panic among the townsfolk.

After her capture, the kidnappers state that they want the Armlet of Transmutation as her ransom in a letter found by a dog named Zasha. Alena, not wanting to see an innocent life lost even if she was impersonating her, takes Kiryl and Borya to the Vault of Vrenor in the south to retrieve the armlet. The exchange takes place at night and, while the faux-tsarevna is safe, the trio cannot shake the feeling that something terrible has been put into motion.
