Wave of Panic is a skill introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters and made infamous in Dragon Quest IX. It is a blast of maddening midnight that debilitates even the most dauntless characters.
Appearances
Dragon Quest IX
Wave of Panic is a group targeting skill exclusive to the Geothaum, Equinox, and Barbarus. It lowers a character's defence and agility by 50% for 7~10 turns.
Dragon Quest Monsters 1 &2
Using the skill inflicts Sap, Decelerate, and Dazzle on one foe. If multiple enemies are present, the target is selected randomly. Dark Breath takes 7 MP to use, and requires the user to be level 21 with a wisdom stat of 270 to learn. The Gripevine, Titanus, and DeathMore (Transformed) naturally learn the skill.
