The windcheater has a defence bonus of +33, a style bonus of +7, and reduces damage taken from wind attacks and spells by 33 points. It can be equipped by the Hero, Kiefer, Ruff, and Sir Mervyn and can be acquired by defeating the Demon barber, the boss of the Barbarous Barbershop DLC Tablet.

Etymology[edit]

The windcheater's Japanese name in VII, furoshiki mantle, references a type of traditional Japanese cloth used for hundreds of years to wrap and transport goods and clothes. It often featured patterns and could be worn as a scarf or cape.
