The wizard's staff (also known as wizard's wand) is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise. When used as a tool in battle, it casts Frizz on an enemy.

Appearances

Dragon Quest II

The wizard's staff has an attack bonus of +35. It can be equipped by all characters.

Dragon Quest III

The wizard's staff has an attack bonus of +15. It can only be equipped by mages and sages.

Dragon Quest VII

The wizard's staff has an attack bonus of +15 and an appearance bonus of +11. It can only be equipped by Maribel and Melvin.

Dragon Quest VIII

The wizard's staff has an attack bonus of +15. It can be equipped by Jessica and Angelo.

Dragon Quest IX

The wizard's staff has an attack bonus of +7 and 1.5% MP absorption rate. It can be equipped by any character as long as they can use wands.
