Etymology
- The English name is similar to its shape, the combination of "wyrm" and "turtle".
- The Japanese name "ガメゴン Gamegon " is the combination of "かめ Kame "(turtle) and "ドラゴン Doragon "(Dragon).
- The English name "Wyrntoise" is the combination of "wyrm" and "tortoise".
- The Japanese name "ガメゴンロード Gamegon Rudo " is the combination of "かめ Kame "(turtle) and "ドラゴン Doragon "(Dragon). Then add the suffix "ロード roudo" (Lord) to separate from it from the lesser Wyrtles.
