Dragon Quest I HD-2D Remake[edit]

The Day-Dreamer is first encountered in the depths of the Craggy Cave along with her best friend, the Arm-Twister. The duo were looking for the leader of the nearby Faerie Village, the Dream-Whisperer, who disappeared after a monster raid thought she might have took shelter in the cave. The pair ended up being cornered by a monster themselves at one point, but it was quickly dispatched by the Hero, who is drawn to the faeries' hiding place by their frantic whispering.

The Day-Dreamer panics upon seeing the young man and assumes he'll do the worst, but the Arm-Twister keeps her cool and asks him his name. Upon being told of his name and mission the Arm-Twister reveals just enough of the Faerie Village's plight to manipulate him into helping them, with the Day-Dreamer complimenting her deviousness. Her earlier panic subsides and she begins to trust the Hero after this point.

When the Hero arrives the Faerie Village, the Day-Dreamer vouches for the hero along with the Arm-Twister when the Over-Seer attempts to repel him. Later, when the Hero presents two missing ingredients needed to concoct sunup syrup to cure an ailing dwarf and captain of the Tantegel knights, the Day-Dreamer and Arm-Twister brew the medicine for him. She is then seen helping create the soul sigil when the Hero next arrives. When the Hero asks the Over-Seer if this is one of the five sigils needed to summon Rubiss, the Day-Dreamer rats out her bestie when the Over-Seer demands to know who blabbed and the two briefly scuffle. The pair make up by the time the Hero rescues the Dream-Whisperer from the Weirdwood, and celebrate along with the rest of the fair folk upon her safe return.

When the Dragonlord's forces suddenly materialize within the village and begin raiding, the Day-Dreamer successfully fends off a dragon zombie by casting Snooze and gives several faeries the time to escape harm―unfortunately a second dragon zombie materializes right behind her. The Arm-Twister pushes the Day-Dreamer out of the way of the attack and takes the fatal blow herself, quickly succumbing to her wounds. The Hero arrives shortly after and slaughters the Dragonlord's forces, with the faeries regrouping in the sigil building. When the Dream-Whisperer thanks the Hero for saving the, the Dream-Whisperer snaps that he's just one man and he couldn't keep all of them safe. She then begins sobbing openly in mourning, with the Dream-Whisperer hugging her tightly to console her.

The Day-Dreamer sojourns to the Shrine of Rain along with the rest of the faeries near the end of the game and watches as the ritual to summon Rubiss is performed.
