Ironclad Defence is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series that gives a boost to the wearer's defensive capabilities.

Dragon Quest X[edit]
Ironclad Defense appears as a Coup de Grâce that can be used in the Monster Arena by any monster equipped with Zubo's special badge. When used, it reduces all damage taken by 80% for 30 seconds.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Ironclad Defence is known naturally by Gold golem, Halloween king, and Sasquash at level 1, costing 24 MP to use. It increases the user's DEF and Spell Res for 3 turns. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
