Mersea

Mersea is a new underwater town in the Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake, home to the mermaids and accessible after getting Lorelei's harp from the faeries. It has an item shop, an inn, and a tombola booth. In the postgame, it gets a second item shop that sells only tombola tickets. In the back of the town is the court of the mermaid queen. A number of quests are based out of Mersea; for example, a quest to visit the Sunken Ship and find a pearl that needs to be added to the Lorelei harp in order to make your ship capable of sinking to lower depths. In the process, you also find out what became of the mermaid queen's human lover.
