Although most games in the Dragon Quest series star a human protagonist, the Slime MoriMori series is centered on a slime. Ironically, slimes are usually weak enemies and the mascots of the Dragon Quest series. The reason for this is that, even more so than the Monsters games, the series is directed at young children. This particular slime, Rocket, is joined by his friends Hooly, Swotsy and his sister Bo to prevent some horrible catastrophe in each game of the series.
