When [[Melonie]], the final missing passenger, has been found and rescued, the father of [[Jamirus]], a gryphon called [[Gemon]], decides to kidnap her. She must then be rescued by the hero and [[Rex Mayday]]. The legendary bird [[Ramia#Dragon Quest VIII|Empyrea]] arrives at the scene when the battle is over, forcing Jamirus and Gemon to flee.

Dr Snap seems to have quite a bit of information about the [[Incarnus]].

When the [[Hero (Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker)|Hero]] goes to receive the Scout's Mark for winning the tournament from Dr Snap, he finds out it is fake. Dr Snap reveals his real reasons for holding the tournament: he plans to open the gate to the dark world, and is going to use the Incarnus to help him.
