The [[Hero (Dragon Quest XI)|Luminary]] learns Earthsplitter when speaking to the elder of [[Havens Above]] in the game's third act. It targets one group of foes and deals up to 210~250 damage for 16 MP. If the player has completed quest #60 then the MP cost will be doubled, the base damage raised to 200~240, and the upper limit to 400~440. Th Luminary must have the [[Sword of Light]] or one of its upgrades equipped to perform the technique.
