Maam's parents, Roka and Leira, helped Avan defeat the Dark Lord in the past. She inherited traits of both, and she became a "Warrior Priest". Eventually, realizing Dai's party already had someone else who excelled at being a warrior and another who was a better priest than her, Maam decided to train under Brokeena and become a martial artist.
