Matoriv is an excentric old mage who is said to be the most powerful mage in the world, and was a companion of [[Avan]]. As such, he has known [[Maam]] since birth.

Matoriv has mastered spells from the [[Frizz]] and [[Crack]] lines as well as other support spells like [[Zoom]] and [[Levizoom]]. He eventually created spells of his own, with his most powerful creation being [[Medroa]].

During the events of Valge Island, he took [[Popp]] as his apprentice.
