==Characteristics==
Alizarin is a colossal sea serpent with black scales, purple fin membranes, and a scarlet underbelly. A large horn is centered in his forehead, surrounded with red markings matching his underside and eyes. An lure-like appendage tipped with the [[Red Orb]] extends from the back of his neck over his head, similar to that of a female angler fish.

Being one of the six Spectral Sentinels that serve the evil sorcerer [[Mordegon]], Alizarin is fanatically devoted to his master and enforces his tyranny on the seas of [[Erdrea]]. It is alluded to by [[Queen Marina]] that Alizarin was directly created by Mordegon, but this is not further elaborated upon. Regardless of the beast's origins, Alizarin is a cruel monster that delights in mindless slaughter and refuses to let any of his prey escape.
