The '''Sham hamwitch''' is a recurring monster in the {{DQSeries}}, first appearing in ''[[Dragon Quest X]]''. It is a porcine spellcaster that takes pride in being an alchemist.

Sham hamwitches are the [[Rarefied monster|rarefied form]] of the more common [[Sham hatwitch]]. Its fur has become scarlet and it has replaced its sorcerer's cap with a headpiece made of silver with gold trim. According to its bestiary descriptions in ''X'' and ''Treasures'', the sham hamwitch's hat is said to be its own alchemic creation.
'''Alchemist piggies''' are warthog-like enemies. They have red fur covering their all their bodies except the snout; they also have little white fangs beneath it. Although they are covered, they have black eyes. Alchemist piggies wear a huge silver hat, with golden primitive patterns on it, that comes down over its eyes. Strangely enough, at the top of the hat there are two holes that try to resemble eyes, though they aren't.
