Hmm, I've Got It! Their STATS. If they are the same, that would determine it once and for all!  - icysugarspike (talk) 12:15, 3 June 2016 (CDT)

:::Huh. Seems to be one of these rare cases then like Ramia/Empyrea (and Great Godbird, which has the original palette of Empyrea, while Empyrea in Joker 2, Terry's Wonderland 3D, and Super Light has a new palette). In that case, they look quite different but are clearly referenced as being the same bird. This might be a case similar to that, where even though the names are different, they're clearly designed to be the same monster (based on the usage of the name Eyepod and Heyedra for the same hanging creature in some games). Even in previous cases where monsters had slightly different names but similar appearances (see Toxic Zombie/VenomHork and Corpsickle/PoisonZombie), there were clear differences in their appearances (in Corpsickle vs Toxic Zombie's case, different hair color and slightly different clothing color). This also opens up to a larger question of whether monsters of the same creature line should be merged into single articles for more robust and less spread-out content. Golden Sun Universe, an affiliate of ours via NIWA, does that for their monster families, for example. Marandahir (talk) 12:25, 3 June 2016 (CDT)

:Concerning their stats, remember that in some games, Eyelasher/DarkEye is the weaker monster, while Eyepod/EvilEye/Heyedra is the stronger monster, and in other games, it's the opposite (for comparison, Walking Corpse/Hork and Corpse Corporal/Zombie do the same sort of early-installment flip flopping, as do a bunch of other monsters). I'm not so sure the stats in different games would be particularly relevant. Marandahir (talk) 12:29, 3 June 2016 (CDT)
