Beakons are large, flightless [[Bird family|birds]] with long legs growing from their heads. They have the heads of birds of prey, with mostly brown feathers and black around their eyes and large, sharp beaks. The beakons often have the ability to attack twice per turn, in some games having the ability to perform loud squawks that intimidate their opponents or can call for more of their kind. they may be slightly based on a big legged bird called a pukeko. more particularly, a baby pukeko, which at first glance has no neck. this almost makes it look like its head is its entire body, similar to the beakon.
