Etymology[edit]
Their name is a play on words using the term indentured servant, which means to be bound by a signed or forced contract (indenture) to work without pay for a period of time for the owner of the indenture, and the word undead, used to describe their skeletal state. It could also include a pun about a lack of teeth, or having no dentures since their bodies are falling apart.
