The Leafy lampling is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest XI. It is a variant of the Lampling that makes its home in forests and jungles.
Characteristics
Leafy lamplings have the appearance of oil lanterns made from woody materials, originally being demonic fire spirits that have changed over many years due to living in forest environments. Their main bodies are brown like acorns, have a singular green eye, and a small smiling mouth, while the tops of their heads are leafy green tendrils. In their enclosures, they hold flames which they use to scatter fiery powder on their enemies.
Appearances
Dragon Quest X
Like their pitch-colored cousins, leafy lamplings retroactively appeared starting in Version 6.0. They are capable of casting Kafrizz and using Pyre o' Fire in battle, along with their signature ability to scatter fiery powder.
