His purpose is to entice gullible fools with rumors of the aforementioned isle, then sacrifice them to [[Mortamor|his master]] to strengthen him. In ''Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker'' and ''Joker 2'', Jamirus is depicted with dark purple feathers on his head and wings rather than his usual grey.


He is one of the Dread Fiends, based out of the Isle o' Smiles in the [[Phantom World]].
