The '''Robe of serenity''' is a recurring robe in the ''[[Dragon Quest (series)|Dragon Quest]]'' series, debuting in {{DQ4}}.

It is a special robe that provides protection to the wearer in battle if they are asleep or paralyzed in its first three appearances in the series (IV}}, {{V}}, and {{VIII}}). In {{IX}}, it only provides protection against {{Sleep}} attacks, whereas in {{XI}}, it offers no protection against either status and instead heals {{HP}} every turn and provides bonuses to {{Magical Might}} and {{Magical Mending}}.
It is a special robe that has carried a variety of special properties throughout its appearances in the series. It reduces damage taken by the wearer if they are under the effects of {{Sleep}} or become {{Paralyze}}d in its first three appearances in the series: {{IV}}, {{V}}, and {{VIII}}. In {{IX}} it gives the wearer resistance to being put to sleep in the first place, and in {{XI}} it offers no protection against either ailment and instead heals {{HP}} every turn.
