'''Erdrick's Armour''' is a legendary suit of sublime steel that has appeared in the first two games of the [[Erdrick Trilogy]]. Its original name was the [[Auroral Armour|auroral armour]] before it was claimed by the [[Hero (Dragon Quest III)|mythical Hero of yore]]. It is the de facto ultimate armour in every game of the original trilogy, and when appearing in later titles it easily ranks among the best options available to the player.

 

Erdrick's armour is the most powerful piece of armour in the game, located in the ruined town of [[Damdara]] and guarded by a [[Knight Aberrant|knight aberrant]]. When equipped, it adds +28 to the Hero's [[List of character statistics#Defense|Defence]]. In addition, Erdrick's Armour lives up to its legendary repute by reducing incoming magic and breath damage by 33%, preventing enemy [[Fizzle]] spells from working, protecting against damage from toxic bogs and magic barriers, and restoring 1 HP for every step taken.
