Belial is a large yellow demon carrying a purple pitchfork. He has a large snout and blue wings, the latter of which he uses to fly. Despite his brutish appearance Belial is a master conjurer in all of his appearances and favors the [[Kaboom]] spell in particular.
 
In the HD-2D Remake of ''II'', Belial is a battle-hungry demon who enjoys receiving punishment as much as he does giving it. He views the [[Scions of Erdrick]] as worthy opponents to him, and once they best him, he acknowledges their efforts and hopes for them to get stronger so that he can have a better battle with them. However, Belial's respect towards both them and [[Dream-Whisperer]] is a way of establishing his ego and might as well as his lust for battle over them. The second battle with the yellow bastard begins, and afterwards he explains the nature of his being in Alefgard: he, Atlas, and Pazuzu were worshiped as cruel deities in their home dimensions before being summoned forth by Hargon after he sacrificed the lives of countless wicked humans. This act of summoning bound the three to Hargon's will, and they can never act against him no return to their own realms so long as he lives.
