-In chapter 2, the king of Endor is holding a [[Tournament of Endor|tournament]] to attract powerful warriors.  The prize for winning the tournament is the hand of the princess in marriage.  Alena enters the tournament not only to prove her strength but to save the princess from an undesirable marriage.  Alena is able to win the tournament by defeating five opponents and by the forfeit of [[Necrosaro]], the only other person to defeat five opponents.
-In chapter 3, Taloon is able to mend the bad feelings between the king of [[Bonmalmo]] and the king of Endor.  Because of his expert mediation, the king of Endor allows Taloon to set up a shop in Endor.  Taloon moves into the shop with his wife and child.
