The Anarchaeopteryx is a monster that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest VII. It can be found in the Marsh Cave and the Roamers region in the past.

Anarchaeopteryxes are large, leaping, aggressive backwards bird monsters that have distinct dinosaurian features and a dippy way of barely hovering above in the air with their near useless vestigial wings, leaving their claws scrapping against the floor of the caves they usually lurk in. However, this featherbrained half-flight gives them extra force to put behind their punishing peck attacks with their massive bludgeoning beaks.
