El Forado is a hidden village in Dragon Quest IV.

Appearances

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen

Located at the foot of the great Yggdrasil tree in the middle of a circular mountain chain housing massive desert, it is the most remote settlement in the game's world. El Forado home not only to the elves but also talking foxes. It is a short distance to the east of Mintos, surrounded by impassable mountains and only accessible with the balloon.

The elves will tell the party that they can hear someone crying among the branches of Yggdrasil, which is the player's hint of Orifiela's presence. In chapter 6, the elves will also explain the nature of the Yggdrasil Flower that can revive even those long dead, setting the Chosen on a rescue mission to resurrect Rose and stop the true evil.
