THE PROGRAM

In an effort to encourage more active participation among Dragon Quest fans, zenithian started this participation/prize redemption program. Participants earned draques (D) which they could then use to acquire select Dragon Quest/gaming merchandise. They were able to track their draque balance here. Prizes were redeemable based on a first come, first served basis.

The program was begun with the hopes that this wiki would benefit from a flood of new users and great articles; while some of that has happened, it wasn't at the level zenithian had hoped for. The program was scheduled to end twice, and on December 31, 2009 the draque program was ended for good, and any unredeemed draques became worthless after January 31, 2009.

zenithian reserved the right to make minor modifications throughout the program’s duration as needed, however, there was no reduction of earned draques through taxation or currency devaluation, nor were the prizes offered removed, except through redeemed draques. Once a prize was listed with a redemption value, the draque price was never increased.

EARNING DRAQUES

DRAGON QUEST DICTIONARY~ENCYCLOPEDIA

Create an article or make an improvement for the Dragon Quest Dictionary Encyclopedia. Draques will be awarded based on the quality and length of the addition; with quality being weighted more. Additions and changes not related to the Dictionary~Encyclopedia or written merely for length without adding depth will not be awarded draques and may incur a maximum penalty of 5% against the contributor’s earned draque balance. For each new article:

  • 100 draques for an E, or stub ranked article
  • 200 draques for a D ranked article
  • 400 draques for a C ranked article
  • 700 draques for a B ranked article
  • 1000 to 1200 draques for an A ranked article (see bottom of page)

If you edit an article, and it increases from one rank to another (e.g. D to C or C to B), then you will earn the difference between the ranks (ex. 200 for D to C or 300 for C to B).

You must be logged in to have your contributions count. This allows me to know to whom to award draques. Theoretically, there is no limit to the amount of draques you may earn through contributions to the Dragon Quest Dictionary~Encyclopedia.

APPLY FOR THE ASSISTANT WEBMASTER POSITION

Zenithia.com is looking for an Assistant Webmaster. This is a non-paid position; my desire is that the assistant webmaster will eventually be given full control of the domain as my role in the site becomes that of financier. I am mostly looking for someone who can help with a complete site redesign; art expertise will be weighted heavily. If you are interested in the position, please complete this application (150 draques for completion of section one, +600 draques for completion of section two, for a total of 750 draques).

The following shall be the maximum draques awarded for an A ranked article:

1200 – Articles about games (Dragon Quest VIII, Rocket Slime, etc.), corporations (Enix Corporation, Square Enix, Chunsoft, etc.) 1100 – Articles about game characters (Prince of Cannock, etc.), locations (Alefgard, etc.), key people (Toriyama, etc.) 1000 – All other articles
