Material Family (Japanese Kanji: 物質 Hiragana: ぶっしつ Romanji: Bushitsu Material) refers to monsters in Dragon Quest series that are formed form materials such as stone, iron, cloth. Some frequently-seen forms are: statue, bag/sack, golem, rock, armour, reaper or moai. In some games, this family also includes members of the Elemental family and the Machine family.
