Pterygotus, also known as RedSting is a monster in the Dragon Quest series. It is basically a red armoured scorpion.

The RedSting can be found in the Mardra region in the past, the Basin Cave, and the Lefa Fane in the past. It is also one of the possible forms that a WonderEgg will become when hatched.
Trivia
Pterygotus is a genus of sea scorpions that lived in the Devonian Period in the Paleozoic Era which lasted from 416 million to 359 million years ago.
