Dragon Quest also known as Dragon Quest: Legend of the Hero Abel (ドラゴンクエスト ～勇者アベル伝説～) was a 1989 Japanese animated television series loosely based off of Dragon Quest III. The series was directed by Rintaro and Katsuhisa Yamada, with art faithful to that of Akira Toriyama.
