Meragaiā (Japanese: メラガイアー) is a spell introduced in Dragon Quest IX. It can be learned by those in the Mage class at level 64 and costs 45 MP to use. It is assumed to be the most powerful of the Frizz-family of spells, more-so than Merazoma.
When Dragon Quest IX was released in English, this spell was localized as Kafrizzle, despite the fact that the spell Merazoma had been localized as Kafrizzle when Dragon Quest VIII was released. Meragaiā's in-game animation looks similar to Kafrizzle's animation in Dragon Quest VIII.
