The Cruel claw is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is a wicked sharp claw taken from a dangerous monster that is used as a crafting ingredient.

Dragon Quest X[edit]
Cruel claws are used as an ingredient in alchemy and equipment crafting. It can be purchased from a material store for 120 gold or dropped by various monsters, including Draguars, Great sabrecats, Hacksauruses, and Vampire cats.
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below[edit]
Cruel claws can be dropped by Hellions and Teeny sanguinis or exchanged for one Mini medal. They can occasionally be found in barrels or treasure chests on the Stonecloud, as well. The claws can be used to create Bunny tails and Scholar's specs in the Alchemy Pot and can be sold for 4 gold.
Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End[edit]
Cruel claws are used as an ingredient to improve various accessories. They can be dropped by Great sabrecats, Hellions, Terror tabbies, and Tyrantosauruses.
