The Swag bagger is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VII. It is a shifty, dark-garbed bandit that tries to pilfer from adventurers.

Characteristics[edit]

Swag baggers are sneaky humanoids with tanned skin, pointy ears, and blistered blue lips. They wear torn and tattered purple robes and magenta horned hoods and boots. The Swag bagger also carries around a bulky brown loot sack over their strong left shoulders, which they use to attack, either by smacking and smashing foes over the head with it or throwing various odd objects from inside. When the swag baggers appeared in spinoff games in the series, they were made part of the Undead family.
