AppearancesEdit
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten PastEdit
In the original PS1 version, CurseSong is a hybrid skill learned by reaching rank 5 as a Mage or Troubadour immediately after completing the other. It reduces the defence of one group of enemies for 0 MP, making it similar to Kasap. It is also learned by reaching rank 6 as a Walking corpse.
- In the 3DS version, hybrid skills no longer exist and Cursed Verse is learned normally by reaching rank 5 as a Luminary or rank 1 as a Druid, but as it is an advanced skill, it can only be used as either of those vocations or learned permanently as a Walking corpse.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed KingEdit
Cursed Song appears as an enemy-only skill that can be used by Pan pipers and Wailin' weeds. It has a chance to curse the entire party, stunning them for a single turn. The Hero is immune to its effects as he cannot be cursed.
Dragon Quest XEdit
Cursed Verse appears once again as an enemy-only skill that can be used by various monsters, including Pan pipers and Wailin' weeds. It attempts to curse any nearby characters.
Dragon Quest TactEdit
Known as the Song of Cursing in this game, it is known naturally by Wailin' weed at level 1 and costs 13 MP to use. It has a range of up to three squares away from it and can occasionally curse a single enemy for four turns. Upgrading the skill increases the rate of success.
