The Supreme sage's staff is a two-handed rod that is the result of upgrading the Sage's staff through the Fun-Size Forge.
Localization history
The Japanese name of 大けんじゃの杖 had previously been translated as the Savant staff for Dragon Quest IX, with savant being a synonym for sage.
