• Kazap, the second strongest spell from the Zap family, first introduced in Dragon Quest III. It was originally localized as Lightning in the original NES versions of III and IV and then Thordain in the English localizations of the first two Dragon Quest Monsters games and the GBC version of III.
• Kazapple, the strongest spell from the Zap family, which requires MP from the entire party, first introduced in Dragon Quest IV. It was originally localized as Thordain in the NES version of IV.
