Zam Ward is a talent that grants monsters a 50% resistance to dark-elemental damage, imparts considerable wisdom and MP boosts, and cuts the MP costs of spells in half.

Zam Ward appears in The Dark Prince as a support talent.
Some monsters might randomly have it upon scouting them. These monsters are: Foo Dog, Archdemon, Saltwater Stallion, and Shivery Shrubbery.
