Tiny Medals are a a recurring feature of the Dragon Quest series. First appearing in Dragon Quest III, they are a type of collectible item found in all manner of places throughout a game's world, which can then be given to the Medal King in exchange for powerful prizes not available by any other means.
They seem to have been replaced with Mini Medals.
