Stone golem

File:Rockgolem.gif The Stone Golem (originally Stoneman, RockGolem / Rock Golem later on) is a recurring enemy in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in the original Dragon Quest alongside the Golem, it is essentially a more powerful version of that monster.
Characteristics
A Stone Golem's name sums up its appearance: it is a Golem with a stone-gray body.
In the majority of their appearances, Stone Golems are superior to the regular variety whether it be through increased strength, stamina, resistances, versatility, or all of the above. They are especially prone to charging up power for increased strength to their already crushing blows.
