Casino

Casinos appear in all Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest games beginning with Dragon Warrior IV. Dragon Warrior II has lottery which functions similar to a slot machine, and Dragon Warrior III had a monster battle arena in which the hero could place bets, but the full blown casino had its debut in Dragon Warrior IV.

In the casino, you do not wager or earn any gold, instead you use special casino "coins" to place your bets. Winning coins allows you to purchase special items sold only in the casino.

Dragon Warrior IV Casino

The Dragon Warrior IV casino is in the castle town of Endor. It has a monster battle arena, slot machines and blackjack.

Dragon Quest V Casino

The Dragon Quest V casino is in Oracleberry and features a slime race track.

In the DS remake, Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, there is also a casino on the Ventuno, a ship owned by Rodrigo Briscoletti.

Dragon Quest VIII Casino

Dragon Quest VIII has casinos in both Pickham and Baccarat.

Baccarat Casino

The casino in Baccarat has slot machines, roulette wheels, and a bingo machine operated by a healer.
