When wearing this, the guards will forbid the Hero from entering Tantegel Castle, while King Lorik will immediately demand him to leave after being revived. Upon equipping it, the only way to remove the belt is to visit the old man in Brecconary. In the remakes, the Cursed Belt that could be found at the Grave of Galen was changed to various amounts of gold.
