The Dragon Staff is a powerful staff in Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. It is one of the strongest weapons available to the Hero, along with the Metal king sword and Flail of destruction.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]
The dragon staff can be equipped by the Hero and increases his attack by +125. It casts the Puff! spell when used as an item in battle; this does not require the staff to be equipped, so any character can keep it on hand for the ability to transform into a dragon for several turns. This status can be used strategically against fire-breathing enemies, including the the final boss, as characters in dragon form become immune to extreme heat. The staff is kept in a special room inside Talon Tower. Its connection to the Zenith Dragon is unknown.
