The priest's missive is a letter of recommendation that allows the Scions of Erdrick to seek an audience with the combat-crazed monarch of the island kingdom.

The missive is given to the Scions of Erdrick by the Aged Priest of Beran after the Prince of Cannock is cured of his curse. The elderly holy man has been a friend of the Dirkandor royal family for multiple generations, and his approval of the four children is enough for the King to take them seriously.
