Though this page may appear biased, it is not. Proper examination of my points reveal that what I'm saying is true. :Despite what many of us might've been told by parents and/or teachers, appearances can be very important, so if you think others might see this as being 'biased', you might want to go to the lengths of diminishing that image some, even if it holds true to the original source (for example, saying 'humor' instead of 'pointless humor' since ANYTHING can be seen as pointless, especially when pertaining to videogames, of all things). The notion of fans being enraged at this seems alright, but giving examples is a touch unnecessary, especially since all given fans appear to come from the same source. As for this article having not existed, I can honestly say that I never knew that localization existed as a separate thing. :As for things being distanced from the original text... I'm not entirely bothered by it, since stories get twisted one way or another over the course they're told. If anything, it seems funny to think what they, as localizers, must do when they realize what problems their changes will pose for themselves when things tie into one another, though, given the nature of the series, that isn't really something they need to worry about between separate titles. I'm probably looking at it the wrong way, mind. --[[User:PantheonSasuke|PantheonSasuke]] 22:50, October 3, 2010 (UTC) | :As for things being distanced from the original text... :I'm not concerned with the translation at all. I actually find the puns and references to be quite whimsical, and most of the time they make a lot of sense. Using British American accent's and a bunch of other accents makes the characters more lively, in my opinion. For example, not everybody in Dragon Quest IV in on the same country, so of course they will have different accents. Not everybody can speak perfect english. Now, if these guys were editing out parts of the storyline, important plot elements, and certain monsters and things (For example, the blood mummy) THAT would be a problem. Anyway, just my opinion.
