The '''Headman's Axe''', originally localized as the ''Demon Axe'' is a recurring weapon in the ''[[Dragon Quest (series)| Dragon Quest]]'' series. It is a ferocious looking axe that provides melee-oriented characters with considerable boon in the late-game part of their journey. It is the first of the low-accuracy-but-powerful category of weapons, but remains unique among its brethren in that it still has a relatively high hit-rate, unlike that of the [[Hela hammer]].

Found in the [[Castle of Baramos|Castle]] of [[Baramos]], the Headman's Axe gives an attack bonus of +90 to [[Warrior]]s, and will land a critical hit exactly 12% of the time. A chance to miss the target entirely, also 12%, balances this out.
